Hancock

Last weekend up in Maine I saw Hancock and it was amazing! I'm a big fan of Will Smith, and why shouldn't I be? He's a great actor, his movies are more often than not absolutely amazing (one of the only exceptions is The Legend of Bagger Vance) and he's not too hard on the eyes either.

I was skeptical of seeing Hancock when the first trailers were shown. I couldn't tell if it was some superhero satire film or what, but I trust Will Smith's judgement on what movies he stars in so I went and saw it and boy was I pleasantly surprised!

I guess that happens when you don't have the highest expectations, but who cares what a great movie! Will Smith plays John Hancock, an alcoholic who happens to have super powers. Unfortunately he pretty much stinks at being a superhero and screws up all the time. When he saves the life of a PR executive, Ray Embrey (played by Jason Bateman), he decides to help change the public's opinion of Hancock. Things get complicated when Hancock meets Ray's family and Ray's wife, Mary (played by Charlize Theron), thinks that Hancock is a lost cause and that Ray is wasting his time.

This movie was full of some really great humor and great action sequences. Not to mention Will Smith in that superhero uniform, very nice haha. I definitely think this one is worth watching, and less graphic, for the most part, than Wanted so if you're looking for a good action flick but can't handle too much blood and stuff, then Hancock is the right choice for now...but The Dark Knight comes out on the 18th so that may be another good choice. I'll let you know.

Ciao!

This is one of the greatest movies I've seen in a while! Granted I'm a HUGE Will Smith fan but its got tons of action and is wicked funny. Though beware of the PG-13 rating and don't take it lightly because of the strong languge used. Over all fantastic movie!!!
